Uttering Threats
Officers attended a downtown residence to conduct a wellbeing check on an individual. Upon arrival, the individual confronted officers while armed with a knife and threatened to kill one of them. Officers successfully de‑escalated the situation and took the individual into custody without injury. The individual has been charged with uttering threats to cause death. (ST26011988)
Retail Theft
Two separate after‑the‑fact thefts were reported from retail stores within the city. Both incidents remain under investigation by the Property Crime Unit. (ST26011989, ST26011998)
Indecent Act
Police are investigating an incident in which a male exposed his genitals to a passerby near First Avenue and Steele Street at approximately 3:45 p.m. on June 26, 2026. The male was described as wearing dark clothing. Police are seeking the public’s assistance to advance the investigation. (ST26012013)
Theft
An alert citizen contacted police after observing four individuals stealing from a construction site at St. George Street and Curtis Street. The suspects had fled prior to officers’ arrival; however, the stolen property was located nearby and recovered. The investigation is ongoing. (ST26012041)
Warrant Arrests
Three individuals were arrested overnight:
- Mischief warrant — One individual was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Mischief and later released on an undertaking. (ST26009718)
- Fraud warrant — A second individual was arrested outside the city by another police agency on a warrant for fraud. The assisting agency served release documents on behalf of St. Thomas Police and addressed additional matters within their jurisdiction. (ST26012056)
- Probation violation warrant — A third individual was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation and held for a Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court appearance. The individual was subsequently released by the courts.
