Assault Investigation 

St. Thomas police are investigating the report of an assault that occurred in the area of the roundabout on Penhale Avenue. On Sunday, the victim attended police headquarters to report they had been assaulted following an argument with an unknown individual. It was reported that while walking through the roundabout, a vehicle refused to yield. It is alleged that the driver exited the vehicle and assaulted the victim. This remains under investigation. Arrest Made in Assault Cause Bodily Harm Incident

A 39 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following an investigation into a serious assault. On Saturday police attended an address on Ross Street for the report of male in need of medical attention. Police located the victim who had a laceration, bruising and swelling on the left side of his face. The victim advised he had been attacked by a individual at Jonas Park.

Through investigation, officers identified the suspect who was charged with one count of Assault with a Weapon Causing Bodily Harm and one count of Failure to Comply with Probation Order.

On Sunday morning, officers on community patrol located the 39 year old who was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was processed and held to attend court. ST26011549/11648

Robbery Investigation 

Just before 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening police responded to a disconnected 9-1-1 call from an address on Hiawatha Street.

Officers learned that four males had arrived at the address in a light gold/silver GMC Sierra pickup truck and entered the residence. Witnesses reported hearing yelling and banging before seeing the men load bags into the truck and leave the area.

A male victim sustained minor injuries and reported being assaulted by the men who entered the residence. This remains under investigation. ST26011651

Theft

A 41 year old St. Thomas man has been charged with Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident at a Talbot Street retail store, Saturday evening. A warrant for his arrest has been requested. ST26011567

A 34 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Sunday police were called to attend a retail store on Talbot Street for the report of the accused failing to pay for $30 of merchandise. Charged with Theft under $5,000, he was transported to police headquarters and held to attend court. ST26011643

Bail Violation 

An 82 year old St. Thomas man has been charged following a call for service on Sunday. It was reported the accused, currently on released conditions to not operate a vehicle was driving on Talbot Street. Police attended the area and conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle being driven by the accused. Charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order, he was transported to police headquarters to be processed. ST26011652

Warrant Arrest

A 24 year old St. Thomas man charged with Uttering Threat and Mischief stemming from an incident in March, has been arrested. On Sunday night, we were notified by the London Police Service that they had the individual in custody on the strength of our warrant. Documents were provided to LPS who continued the arrest on our behalf. The 24 year old was released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26011668/5223

Public Intoxication 

A 16 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged under the Liquor Licence Control Act. Early Sunday morning, officers located the teen in a parking lot on Talbot Street. The individual was exhibiting signs of intoxication and transported to police headquarters where they were held until sober. ST26011607
