Warrants

St. Thomas Police Services Forensic Identification unit executed a DNA warrant for a 23-year-old St. Thomas resident. ST26009694

St. Thomas Police Officer while conducting a traffic stop, located and arrested a 46-year-old St. Thomas resident on the strength of a Peel Police Service Warrant. The individual was transferred into Peel Police custody without issue. The driver of the motor vehicle was also confirmed suspended, and was issued a court date for driving while suspended. Obstruct/Resist

St. Thomas Police were called to an east end retail complex for a suspicious person. The complainant said there was a person acting bizarre, pacing around vehicles, barefoot in the parking lot. Upon arrival, Officers were able to apprehend the individual under the mental act. The 38-year-old Hanmer, Ontario resident was transported to hospital. The individual was issued a provincial offence notice for having open liquor, and will be facing charges of Obstruct and Resist Peace Officer upon their release. ST26009705

Thefts

St. Thomas Police received a report of a stolen e-bike, close to the downtown area. The complainant had locked the bike up, and returned to find it missing. The incident is still under investigation. ST26009714

St. Thomas Police received a report of a stolen e-bike, close to the downtown area. The complainant parked the bike outside briefly, and when they returned the Jetson e-bike was missing. Video is being reviewed, and the incident is still under investigation. ST26009723

Mischief

A 38-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Mischief to property in the downtown area. Upon Police arrival, the complainant pointed out the suspect that was covered in paint, and the property that was vandalized. The individual attempted to leave the area, and prior to doing so, threw paint at the police vehicle. The accused was transported to police headquarters and held for a court appearance. ST26009720

Bail Violation

A 39-year-old St. Thomas resident is wanted for failing to comply with a release order. The accused was in the Ontario Court of Justice, and released with conditions to report to a bail supervisor at the probation office. The accused failed to do so, and is charged accordingly. Multiple attempts were made by probation to contact and locate the accused with negative results, and a warrant was granted. ST26009721

Intimate Partner Violence

The St. Thomas Police Service have charged an individual following an investigation into reports of intimate partner violence. Multiple violent assaults over the course of approximately one year were endured by the victim.  A 26-year-old St. Thomas resident is charged with 3 counts of Spousal Assault, 4 counts of Assault with a Weapon-Spousal, and Assault Cause Bodily Harm-Choke/suffocate/strangle. The accused is still outstanding and a warrant has been requested. ST26009733

St Thomas Police respond to a 911 call, for a domestic dispute in progress. Police spoke with one of the involved persons, who had visible injuries to their face. Additional officers were searching the area for the 48-year-old St. Thomas resident, who had left prior to police arrival. As a result of the investigation, a warrant is requested for Assault Cause Bodily Harm-Spousal. ST26009758
