Sexual Assaults & Intimate Partner Violence
St. Thomas Police are investigating multiple sexual assaults that took place over a number of years, in St. Thomas and London. The accused in this matter is a 48-year-old St. Thomas resident. During the investigation, additional incidents of sexual assaults/interference involving young persons, and domestic violence were identified. As a result, the accused is charged with 5 counts of Sexual Assault, 4 counts of Sexual Interference, Spousal Assault, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Uttering Threats to Cause death or Bodily Harm-Spousal, and Forcible Confinement. Bail Violations
St. Thomas Police locate a theft suspect after loss prevention staff from an east end retail store, report the known individual had just stolen from the store again. Previously reported incidents of theft from the same location involving the same person: ST25014506 (August 2025), ST25011666 (July 2025), ST25010992 (June 2025), ST25010129 (June 2025). The 30-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested and charged with Failure to Comply with Undertaking, and Theft Under $5000. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing and held for a court appearance. ST26009510
A 33-year-old St. Thomas resident is currently wanted for Failing to Comply with a Release Order. The accused appeared in an Ontario Court of Justice on the 4th of May of 2026, and released with conditions to report to Probation the next day. Numerous attempts were made by the Probation Officer, to contact and locate the accused without success. As a result, a warrant for their arrest was granted. ST26009560
Thefts
St. Thomas Police are investigating a theft from a vehicle that occurred on the south side of the city overnight. A baseball bag containing equipment and loose change, along with a folding lawn chair were taken. The incident is still under investigation while CCTV footage is being reviewed. ST26009492
St. Thomas Police were called to attend a location on the city’s south side for a theft with property damage. The complainant reports that copper pipe from an external Air Conditioning unit was stolen, resulting in the unit being inoperable. The date and time of the incident are unknown, as the unit was not in use. ST26009525
Impaired Operation
A 59-year-old Newmarket resident has been arrested for Impaired operation. A witness reported the driver of a motor vehicle had left a local establishment, and was slurring their speech. Concerned for their ability to drive, a call to Police was made. Officers quickly located the vehicle and the driver failed a roadside screening device. As a result, the individual was charged with Impaired Operation, Fail to Surrender Insurance Card, and Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for additional testing and processing. Once additional testing was completed, there was an additional charge of Impaired Operation- Over 80. The vehicle was impounded and the individual was released with a future court date. ST26009565
Mischief
St. Thomas Police are investigating a mischief. A vehicle was damaged in the parking lot of a downtown establishment. The complainant reported their vehicle damaged by mistake. An irate customer who was refused service, targeted their vehicle as it was similar to another employee, that had the interaction with the customer. Recovered Stolen Vehicle
A “suspicious person” call in the city’s north end, results in the recovery of a stolen enclosed trailer, and a stolen motor vehicle. Both the trailer and the vehicle were reported stolen out of Tavistock, Ontario (Oxford OPP area) on May 10th, 2026. Both were towed to a secured area for forensic identification.
