Bicycle theft

On May 15th, a city resident called us to report that sometime during the day on the 14th, an unknown person had taken their daughter’s bicycle from the front of their garage. We are investigating the matter as we review video in the area. ST26008787

Fail to comply with probation

We arrested a 31 year old St Thomas resident on grounds for breaching his probation order as well as his Conditional Sentence Order. He was transported to the STPS station where he was processed and held for court, later remanded to EMDC. ST26008791

Robbery

We are currently investigating an incident that occurred in the downtown area in the early morning hours of May 15th when a male was assaulted before a number of his personal items were taken. Minor injuries were sustained that did not require medical attention. ST26008800

Warrant arrest

With the assistance of OPP ROPE (Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement), we arrested a 36 year old wanted on serious Intimate Party Violence related offences at a residence in town. The male was transported to the STPS station where he held for court and remanded into custody until a future court date. ST26008802

Shoplift

We were called to the area of the LCBO for reports of a shoplift where the suspect had left the store with product. We arrived in the area quickly and located the 27 year old suspect. They were subsequently arrested and charged with Theft under before being released with conditions and a future court date. ST26008830

Shoplift

We attended a downtown store for reports that a couple of individuals had attended and stole a number of items. We were able to identify the parties involved. ST26008839

Warrant arrest

Woodstock Police Service contacted us to advise they had arrested a male wanted by our service on a Probation warrant. We forwarded documents to Woodstock and they released the individual on our behalf. ST26008840

Theft of E-Bike

A city resident called to report that their blue/grey/silver E-Bike was stolen sometime overnight. The E-Bike had been stored under a tarp on his property. We continue to investigate the incident. ST26008841

Warrant arrest

We arrested a 38 year old Port Stanley resident on the strength of an outstanding bench warrant. The individual was transported to the STPS station and held for WASH (Weekend And Statutory Holiday) court. They also had an outstanding warrant out of Oxford OPP, therefore were served release documents on OPP’s behalf. The individual was released by courts. ST26008844

Shoplift

We were called to a store in the 1055 block of Talbot Street for reports of a shoplift. The matter remains under investigation as we review video footage. ST26008845

Shoplift/warrant arrest

We were called to the 1063 block of Talbot Street for reports that 2 parties had entered the store and taken a variety of items before leaving without paying in a vehicle. We located the vehicle in question and arrested both parties for theft under. They were processed and later released with conditions and a future court date. One of the parties was also wanted on an outstanding warrant out of London. They were served release documents on London Police Service’s behalf. ST26008847/ST26008850

Weapons

We have arrested and charged a 20 year old St. Thomas male with weapons offences after he was found in possession of brass knuckle and a flick knife; both of which are classified as prohibited weapons under the Criminal Code. The male was transported to the STPS station where he was held for WASH court and released by courts. ST26008853

Fraud

We are investigating a fraud reported by a city resident who reported that they noticed fraudulent transactions on their credit card statement. The matter remains under investigation as we review video and document records. ST26008856

Intimate partner violence

We were called to a downtown address for reports of a disturbance involving an unwanted male. Through investigation, we determined that one individual had assaulted the other after the other party had damaged several pieces of property. Both individuals were ultimately charged, 1 with assault and the other with 2 counts of mischief. Both parties were later released from custody. ST26008862/ ST26008867
