Assault by Youth
A 16-year-old youth has been charged and arrested for Assault. The victim reported while in a motor vehicle, the youth became increasingly upset and violent. The victim spoke of other violent outbursts that left them with no other option then to drive immediately to the Police Station, seeking help and safety. The youth was already on Probation for other serious criminal offences, out of London. The youth was processed at Police Headquarters, held for a court appearance, and remanded into custody. Sexual Assault Arrest
Police were called to a North side residence for a sexual assault investigation. The victim reported that earlier in the month while having a discussion with an ex, they were sexually assaulted. As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old St. Thomas resident was charged with Sexual Assault and arrested. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and later released with a future court date. ST26008551
Seatbelt Lane
St. Thomas Police Service conducted a traffic enforcement lane, checking to make sure occupants were buckled up. 45 vehicles were checked, and there were no infractions. ST26008668
Warrant Arrest
Police while on General Patrol located a 52-year-old St. Thomas resident that was currently wanted, on the strength of a material witness warrant. The individual was placed in custody, transported to Police Headquarters, and held for a morning court appearance. ST26008680
Intimate Partner Violence
An arrest was made at a north end residential building. 911 was called when a witness heard a loud disturbance in the hallway. Upon Police arrival, it was learned that a 25-year-old and the 32-year-old were in a relationship, and the pair had been drinking. When asked to leave, the female became upset and violent. As a result of the investigation, the female was charged with Spousal Assault, transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and later released with a future court date. ST26008712
St. Thomas Police respond to a 911 call at a residence on the city’s south side. The caller indicated an ex was inside, and refusing to leave. Previous domestic violence history at the address, revealed a 36-year-old Muncey resident, was on conditions to not communicate with the victim, and had previously breached those conditions. As a result of the investigation, the male from Muncey is currently wanted for Failure to Comply with undertaking. ST26008714
