Recovered Stolen Vehicle
The 2023 white Toyota Tundra previously reported stolen from an address on Pine Valley Drive on May 8th was recovered by the Toronto Police Service on May 10th. The vehicle had damage to the driver’s side window and dashboard wiring. The truck was towed by TPS and the local owner notified. This remains under investigation. ST26008475/8222
Theft
A 34 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following a shoplifting incident at a downtown retail store on Sunday. Officers were called to a Talbot Street business for the report of an unknown person failing to pay for their items. A description was provided to police who located the suspect a short distance away. Charged with Theft under $5,000 he was transported to police headquarter to be processed. A search incident to arrest found the 34 year old to be in possession of a large steel blade. He is currently on a release condition to not possess any type of knife. As a result, he was additionally charged with Failure to Comply with Probation and held to attend court. ST26008449
A red bike with a black seat has been reported stolen from the rear of a business in the 600 block of Talbot Street. An employee of a business in the area reported leaving their bike behind the business while at work. ST26008479
A 37 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested following the report of a suspicious person on the property of a business in the 1000 block of Talbot Street, early this morning. At 4:30 a.m. officers were called to attend the area after an individual was seen removing plants from the front of a business. Attending officers located the accused who was subsequently charged with Theft under $5,000. Once processed at police headquarters, she was released on an undertaking with a future court date. Flight from Police
A driver travelling at a high rate of speed in the north end of the city failed to stop for police. A black Hyundai Elantra was travelling in excess of 120km/h in the area of Highbury Avenue. No pursuit was initiated. ST26008470
