Assault with a Weapon 

On Monday afternoon police responded to the report of individuals being struck by paintballs fired from a building on the west side of the city. Three individuals were hit with the paintballs, and a vehicle sustained damage. A 31 year old male was identified and later arrested and charged with two counts of Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and Mischief. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for court. ST26006391

Break and Enter

STPS are investigating a break and enter that occurred at a business on South Edgeware Road in the early morning hours on Monday.  A quantity of cash was taken from a cash drawer. A suspect described as a male wearing a mask and gloves was captured on video. That video has been provided to police. This remains under investigation. ST26006368

Fraud 

A local resident reports losing $1,250 after attempting to purchase a puppy online. Funds were sent via e-transfer and gift cards. The incident remains under investigation. ST26006375

Theft

STPS are investigating after a male left a grocery store without paying for a basket of meat. The suspect fled through nearby properties and may have transferred the items to a vehicle before leaving the area. He has been identified through video, and a warrant for his arrest has been requested. ST26006392

During a separate shoplifting call, staff reported another suspect leaving in a vehicle believed to be connected to the earlier incident. Police are continuing to investigate. ST26006422

Warrant Arrest

A 51 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. Last night, we were notified by the London Police Service that they had the individual in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant.  He had been charged with Uttering Threats and Mischief  stemming from an incident last week. He was returned to St. Thomas Police Headquarters and held for court. ST26006445

A 30 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Theft and Failing to Comply with Probation stemming from an incident in March. He was transported to police headquarters and held for court. ST26006388

Traffic Stop Leads to Warrant Arrest

A traffic stop conducted after a mismatched licence plate was observed has led to the arrest of a 44 year old St. Thomas man. Through investigation officers learned the individual was wanted on outstanding warrant with the London Police Service. Further investigation revealed he was a suspended and prohibited driver. LPS was contacted and the accused was processed on their behalf. Additionally charged with Operation while Prohibited, the accused was processed and later released with a future court date.
