Warrant Arrest/Recovered property:

Early Saturday morning a concerned citizen called us to report a suspicious male in the area of Forest and Ross Street carrying what she believed to be a stolen ladder. Police attended and located the male with the ladder. The owner of the ladder could not be immediately identified however the male party was currently wanted on a warrant held by our service for breach of a release order. The 30-year-old male party was arrested on the strength of the warrant and held for court – where he was later remanded into custody. The ladder is still at the police service awaiting identification of the owner. Intimate partner violence:

On Saturday morning a passerby called us to report a disturbance between a male and a female and that the female was actively assaulting the male on a public street. The couple was located and the 47-year-old female was arrested for assault through investigation and speaking with witnesses. She was later released on an undertaking with conditions. Break and Enter:

We were contacted by a business in the east end that report several work vehicles had been damaged overnight and tools stolen. Police attended and learned that the windows had been smashed out of several work vehicles and a large quantity of tools had been stolen. Investigation has revealed several potential suspects and the matter is under investigation. Incident ST25011198.

Shoplift:

Saturday evening Police were called to an east end business for a shoplifting incident. Loss prevention reported that a male attended the store and stole electric razors and other property totaling a value of $240.00. Video has been obtained a suspect has been identified. The matter is currently under investigation. Incident ST25011231.

Warrant arrest:

On Saturday night an officer on general patrol spotted a male party that the officer knew reasonable grounds existed for several break and enter incidents across the city in the past week. The 32-year-old St Thomas resident was arrested on the reasonable grounds and later transported to the station. The male was released on an undertaking with conditions. Incident ST25011250.

Intimate partner violence:

On Saturday evening police received a call from a concerned citizen advising that a male party was currently inside her friend’s residence and the female friend was frightened by his behaviour. Police attended and located the female victim leaving the residence with her child. Inside the residence police located a 28-year-old male who was currently on conditions not to be within 100 meters of the home. The male was arrested and charged with breach of undertaking.
