Theft:

On Friday the 21st of February 2025 a female suspect entered an east end business  and selected merchandise off the shelf. The female then attended customer service with a dated receipt and returned several stolen items for a refund before leaving the business without paying for other items. Video was provided and officers attending recognized the female suspect. A warrant application has been submitted for the 32-year-old female suspect – charged Theft under $5000 and Fraud. Warrant arrest:

On Friday afternoon a female youth attended the station with a parent to turn herself in related to an assault that had occurred at a local school. The youth was arrested, charged with assault, and later released with a youth court date and conditions. Incident ST25002882.

Arrest – Reasonable grounds for theft:

On Friday night St Thomas Police Service Officers on general patrol observed a male that appeared to be the same individual captured on video from a shoplifting incident the week prior—but had been unidentified at the time. The officer spoke with the male youth and they were later confirmed to be responsible for the theft. The male youth was arrested on reasonable grounds, charged and released on conditions with a future court date. Incident ST25002623 and ST25002901.
