Warrant arrests
A 56 year old London resident has been arrested. On Wednesday May 8th 2024, officers attended the Elgin Middlesex Detention Center to process an outstanding warrant for the individual’s arrest stemming from an incident in St. Thomas in February, where the 56 year old was charged with Failure to Comply with Probation Order, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Theft over $5,000. A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday May 8th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Breach of Probation. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24007380
A 35 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday May 8th 2024, officers were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of an outstanding warrant for two counts of Breach of Probation. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and remanded into custody. ST24007385
A 71 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged. The individual, arrested and charged with Uttering Threats and Mischief on May 6th, was released on an undertaking that included several conditions to abide by. The St. Thomas resident was found to be in breach of those conditions on May 8th. As a result, the 71 year old has been charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with Undertaking. A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday May 8th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Failure to Comply with Undertaking and Theft Under $5,000 in relation to a shoplifting incident in April. On Thursday May 9th 2024, officers located the individual known to them to be wanted on outstanding warrant with our service for two counts of Assault, Mischief and Obstruct Peace Officer. Fail to Comply
A 37 year old Windsor resident has been charged. The individual, previously released on an undertaking after being charged with Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Probation was to attend St. Thomas police headquarters for fingerprints but failed to do so. The 37 year old has been charged with one count Failure to Attend. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24007387
Theft
A 53 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged. On Wednesday May 8th 2024, STPS were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate a shoplifting incident in which several groceries items had been stolen. Upon arrival, officers were able to review available video surveillance of the individual, identifying them as the 53 year old St. Thomas resident. As a result, the individual has been charged with Failure to Comply with Probation Order and Theft under $5,000. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24007433
