Arrest for Possession of stolen property
On Saturday May 4th, 2024 police attended the area of Edward/ Balaclava for a suspicious person. On arrival police located a 38 year old male from London. The male possessed property that did not belong to him and was subsequently arrested for possession of stolen property. He was brought back to the station and released into the custody of London Police as he was also wanted by LPS. ST24007121.
Multiple vehicles entries:
On Saturday May 4th, 2024 police were notified by several residences in the area of Laurier Road, Balaclava Street and McGregor Court of their vehicles being entered and personal belongings stolen. Warrant arrest:
Police on general patrol stopped a vehicle and arrested a 51 year old male who was currently wanted by STPS. The male was arrested for fraud and possession of stolen property. The male was released on a appearance notice with a future court date. ST24007175
Thefts:
On Saturday May 4th, 2024 police were contacted by lost prevention at a local retailer on two separate occasions for a 27 year old female and a 37 year old female for theft under $5000. Both females were located by police and arrested. The females were processed and released with future court dates. ST24007178 ST24007183
Assault with a weapon:
On Sunday May 5th, 2024 police were contacted by the victim advising that he was struck in the face by a walking stick during a altercation. The victim advised he was in a altercation with a male over the way in which he was driving the argument escalated and the victim was struck in the mouth with the walking stick causing the victim injuries to him mouth. Police located the 67 year old male and arrested him for assault with a weapon. He was processed and later released with conditions and a future court date. ST24007188
Impaired operation:
On Sunday May 5th, 2024 police were contacted by a observant driver of a possible impaired driving operation in their vehicle in the city. Police located the vehicle and formed suspicion that the driver was operating the vehicle with alcohol in their system. An Standard Field Sobriety test was administered to the driver who preformed poorly and was subsequently arrested for impaired driving. The driver was taken back to the station where she provided breath samples which registered 2 times the legal limit. The 48 year old female was charged with impaired operation and operation with excess blood alcohol. She was later released with a future court date. ST24007191
Dangerous operation:
On Sunday May 5th, 2024 in the early morning hours the police were contacted to attend the area of Chestnut as the victim was being chased by a vehicle. Police attended and located the victim and the driver of the vehicle. The victim advised that he was being chased by the driver with his vehicle over the grass all over the property. Police arrested the driver with dangerous driving and mischief for the damage that was done to the property and the dangerous driving. The 48 year old male from London was processed by police and released with conditions and a future court date. ST24007195
