Media release – 3rd of February 2024

Vehicle Entries:

On Friday the 2nd of February 2024 the St Thomas Police Service received several calls for service related to vehicle entries in the south west end of the City. At Least two residents report purses being stolen out of their unlocked vehicles that contained ID for several family members. The incidents are under investigation. Familial assault

On Friday a St Thomas resident reported that his two children had disclosed incidents of abuse at the hands of their mother’s new partner. The matter is currently under investigation by members of   Criminal Investigations. Incident ST24001589.

Fraud

On Friday a St Thomas resident contacted the St Thomas Police Service to report that unauthorized access to his bank accounts had been obtained by an unknown person. The victim is currently out $2000.00. The matter is currently under investigation. Break and Enters:

On Friday evening the St Thomas Police Service was contacted by a local home builder to report a home under construction had been entered and property damaged within the residence. It was further discovered that several other homes being built by the same company had also been entered and building materials totaling over $2000.00 had been taken. The matter is under investigation. The incidents are under investigation. Warrant Arrest:

On Friday evening Police were called to a local establishment for a female party that was refusing to leave. On arrival officers recognized a female party known to them to be wanted by a warrant held by the St Thomas Police Service. The 31 year old St Thomas woman was arrested on the strength of the warrant, removed from the property and later released with a future court date. Incident ST24001619
