Warrant Arrest
On Friday afternoon Brant County OPP arrested a 24 year old male on the strength of a St Thomas bench warrant. The male failed to attend court to answer to charges of Assault, Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choking, and Mischief Under $5000. The male was transported to STPS headquarters where he was held for court and remanded into custody. ^12040
Bail Violations
An arrest warrant is being sought for a 32 year old St Thomas man after STPS received information that he has failed to report to the local bail supervision program. ^12044
Assault and Impaired
On Friday night members of the STPS attended a north end residence for reports of a female assaulting a male in the household. Upon arrival, police learned the female had been drinking and had left in a motor vehicle. The female returned to the home while police were still on scene. Police formed grounds to believe she had been operating the motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. She was arrested without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building. The female is charged with Assault, Impaired Operation of a Conveyance, and Impaired Operation – 80 plus. She was processed in cells and later released with a future court date. ^12092
