Break and Enter to Apartment Building on Churchill Crescent Reported
St. Thomas police were called to an apartment building on Churchill Crescent early Saturday, after a resident discovered what appeared to be a break in. The resident reported that a window to a common area of the building had the screen removed and noted muddy boot prints entering the same window. Nothing was reported missing from the building at the time and damage was only to the window of the building. Suspect(s) in this matter remain unknown and the investigation is still on going. Prolific Property Crime Offender Arrested
Prolific Property Crime Offender, James Snow (64) was arrested Saturday by the St. Thomas Police after being wanted on the strength of a warrant. Snow was located by members of the OPP on a separate matter and transported to St. Thomas where he appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday Court. Snow was remanded into custody. ST23015137
Vehicle Window Smashed in Southeast End
A Hagerman Crescent resident awoke Saturday morning to a smashed car window. The vehicle owner discovered the damage to the passenger side window, occurring after sometime after midnight and early Saturday morning. No suspects have been identified in the matter and it is currently under investigation. ST230015154
Warrant Arrests
30 year old St. Thomas resident, Shaylee Murphy, has been arrested on the strength of a warrant. Murphy appeared Sunday morning via Weekend and Statutory Holiday court and was subsequently released from custody. St23015175
20 year old Nickolas Derbowka was also arrested Saturday, after being wanted on outstanding warrants. He was released at the scene with a future court date. ST23015174
Vehicle Entry and Theft
Residents are being reminded to ensure that their vehicles are locked and valuables are secured after another vehicle entry was reported Saturday. In this case the owner’s wallet, laptop, and headphones were reported stolen. No suspects have been identified, and it remains under investigation. ST23015189
Impaired by Drug
A 44 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a conveyance after being found behind the driver’s seat in a downtown parking lot. The driver performed poorly after completing a standard field sobriety test. At the conclusion he was placed under arrest. Once at the station he performed subsequent tests in front of a Drug Recognition Expert. The 44 year old was released with a future court date.
