Warrant Arrest
A 34 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested on an outstanding Probation warrant in the afternoon of December 30th. They were released from custody with a future court date. (ST24023374)
Festive RIDE
During the afternoon of December 30th, the St. Thomas Police conducted a Festive RIDE. Approximately 40 vehicles were checked and no infractions were observed.
IPV
The St. Thomas Police attended an address on Highview Drive on December 30th in regard to a number of telephone calls reporting an argument. Upon investigation, it was learned that the argument was between two parties, one of which was on release conditions not to be within close proximity of the other and fled prior to police arrival. A warrant is being sought for a 33 year old St. Thomas resident for not abiding by their release conditions. (ST24023406)
During the early part of the morning on December 31st, police attended an address in the East side of the City in regard to an altercation between intimate partners. One partner was on a Peace Bond not to communicate or be around the other and fled prior to police arrival. A warrant is being sought for the arrest of a 32 year old Woodstock resident for Assault and Breach of Court Order. (ST24023414)
Trespass by Night
During the early morning hours of December 31st, police responded to a Southwest neighbourhood in regard to a male going through unlocked vehicles. Police located a male matching the description a short distance away who attempted to flee from police. After a brief foot pursuit, the male was arrested. A search revealed stolen items from a vehicle in the same neighbourhood and he was breaching conditions of his Probation. The 36 year old St. Thomas resident was held for a morning court appearance.
Family Dispute
The St. Thomas Police responded to a family dispute in the early morning hours of December 31st. Through investigation, it was learned that two family members began fighting, which resulted in one being injured, who fled on foot. A perimeter was set up and K9 attended to assist in tracking the individual, however the search was unsuccessful. The investigation still continues. (ST24023410)
