R.I.D.E
St. Thomas Police conducted a R.I.D.E/seat belt spot check in the city’s south side. Over 100 vehicles were checked, and 2 warnings were issued. St. Thomas Police Service is dedicated to keeping our community safe through regular spot checks and enforcement.
Warrant Arrest
Aylmer Police Service arrested a 51-year-old Fingal resident, on an outstanding STPS warrant for Possession of a Schedule I Substance. The incident took place in December of 2025. Release documents with a future court date were sent to APS. ST26007466, ST25022959
Break and Enter
St. Thomas Police are investigating a Break and Enter in the city’s west end. The complainant reports that a building on the property and multiple vehicles were gone through. The incident is still under an investigation. ST26007472
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
St. Thomas Police were on general patrol when a traffic stop was initiated in the city’s south side. As an Officer approached the car it took off, a query of the license plate revealed the vehicle was stolen out of London. St. Thomas Police did not pursue. Twenty-six minutes later a suspicious vehicle was called into the police station. The same vehicle description was provided, and a suspect was seen running from the area. Police spoke to a person of interest that was located in the area. The incident is still under investigation. ST26007479, ST26007480
MHA Apprehension
A 42-year-old St. Thomas resident, made several 911 Calls asking dispatch to “send a crew, I’ll be stabbing them!” “I’m going kill them!” “You better bring an army!”. The individual was upset over the recent break-up with their partner, was severely intoxicated and wanted suicide by cop. When officers arrived, they were met at the front door by the individual with 2 large Hunting knives. Originally, they refused to drop them, but police were eventually able to deescalate the situation and the knives were dropped. The individual was apprehended under the mental health act. ST26007459
