Trio of Thieves Thwarted
On Sunday March 11th a fifty five year old London man, a forty three year old Brantford man and a forty three year old Brantford woman attended the St. Thomas Walmart around 1:30 in the afternoon.  The trio were noticed by loss prevention acting suspicious in the store as they walked around loading a shopping cart full of goods.  The three then attempted to leave the store without paying for over six hundred dollars worth of merchandise they had collected in the cart.  The three were arrested by loss prevention and charged by STPS officers each with one count of Theft Under $5000.  They were all released on a Promise To Appear in Court at a later date.
Theft
A twenty year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested and charged with one count of Theft Under $5000 after she stole a mans wallet in the Walmart Store.  The man had dropped his wallet and when he went to retrieve it, the woman grabbed the wallet removing $165 in cash and a twenty five dollar winning lottery ticket.   The woman threw the wallet in the garbage as she left the store.  The entire incident was recorded on security video.  Officers were able to identify the woman and arrest her the next day.  She was released on a Promise To Appear In Court at a later date.
Theft
A twenty four year old St. Thomas man has been arrested and charged with one count of Theft Under $5000 after he entered a store on Ross Street and helped himself to a can of Red Bull and a Chocolate Bar.  The man was observed by staff stealing the goods on Monday shortly after 1 pm when they called police.  The male was stopped by officers a short distance away and taken into custody.  He was released on a Promise To Appear and will appear in court at a later date.
