A 16 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after the conclusion of a weapons investigation that began on Saturday June 3rd, 2023.
At approximately 5:30 a.m. police were called to a residence in a southside neighbourhood to investigate the report of a gun being discharged.
As a result, a 16 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count Careless Use of Firearm. The youth attended police headquarters, was processed and released on an undertaking. ST23009768

The St. Thomas Police are presently investigating a report of a firearm being discharged in a residence located at the south east area of the city. A firearm has been recovered and there are no injuries as a result of the incident. Expect a high police presence in the area until the investigation is complete. There is no immediate threat to public safety. If you see a high police presence, please stay from the area until further notice. ST23009522
