STPS Media Release for April 16th 2023

Mischief

Late on April 15th 2023, Police were called to a local business for reports of damage to property. Upon arrival, Officers located a broken window, which was believed to be have been caused by a group of individuals in the area. Police are reviewing video looking to identify the suspects involved and the matter is currently under investigation. Mischief

In the early morning hours of April 16th 2023, Police attended an address in the downtown area for reports of a disturbance between a male and female. Upon arrival, Officers learned that the male had damaged some of the female’s property. He was subsequently arrested and brought back to the STPS station where he was charged and later released with conditions. ST23006220

 

Impaired Operation

In the early morning hours of April 16th 2023, Police received a traffic complaint from an observant citizen reporting a possible impaired driver. A short time later, Officers located the vehicle and driver in question where grounds were formulated that the individual was impaired. The female was subsequently arrested and brought back to the STPS station where further testing determined she had nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol in her body. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days. She was later released with a future court date. ST23006221
