Warrant Arrest/Drugs/Weapons:

On the 21st April 2023 officers on general patrol spotted a male known to them to be wanted on outstanding warrants held by St Thomas Probation and Parole. The 32 year old St Thomas male was arrested on the strength of the warrants. On search incident to arrest officers located a quantity of cash, various controlled substances, a scale suspected to be used for weighing controlled substances, brass knuckles and a homemade conducted energy weapon (stun gun). As a result of the search the male was further charged with 5 counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, 2 counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, 4 counts of fail to comply with probation order(s), 2 counts of fail to comply with conditions of existing release orders, and 2 counts of possession of weapons contrary to existing weapon prohibition orders. The male was held for court. Incident ST23006586

Warrant Arrests:

On the 21st of April 2023 the Aylmer Police Service arrested a 45 year old male who was wanted on a warrant held by the St Thomas Police Service. The male was released with a future court date. Incident ST23006458

On the same date, the St Thomas Police Service attended the St Thomas Elgin General hospital for reports of a male party who was refusing the leave the property. Officers recognized the 43 year old St Thomas resident as being wanted on a warrant held by our service. The male was arrested and released with a future court date. Incident ST23006576

On the 21st of April 2023 a concerned citizen contacted the St Thomas Police service concerned for the well being of a female party who was on Talbot Street yelling and screaming. Police attended and located the female who was not in need of any assistance but was found to be wanted on a warrant held by the St Thomas Police Service. The 30 year old female was arrested and transported to cells where she was held for court. Incident ST23006593

Shoplifting:

On the 21st of April 2023 officers were contacted to attend a west end business related to a theft. Investigation revealed that an unknown male entered the store and stole a small quantity of merchandise. Video is to be obtained of the suspect and the matter is under investigation.
