St. Thomas, ON Friday April 19th 2024

The St. Thomas Police Service is pleased to announce a significant enhancement to our community outreach efforts with the launch of a new translation service provided by Languages in Motion (LiM). This partnership underscores our commitment to equality, diversity, and social inclusion by ensuring that language barriers are not obstacles to accessing our services.

The diversity within our community is one of our greatest strengths, and we are dedicated to providing all residents with the highest level of service regardless of language spoken. With LiM’s on-demand translation service, we can now communicate effectively in over 200 languages, allowing us to assist individuals from all backgrounds promptly and professionally.

Languages in Motion (LiM) provides access to certified translators and interpreters who uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics. This partnership enables us to break down language barriers, ensuring that everyone in St. Thomas can interact with our officers confidently and receive the assistance they need.

As our community continues to grow and diversify, it is essential that we adapt and expand our services to meet the needs of all residents. This translation service reflects our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, reinforcing our mission to serve every member of our community with fairness and respect.

The introduction of LiM’s translation service aligns with our ongoing efforts to foster positive relationships and build trust with every member of our community. By embracing diversity and innovative solutions like LiM, we aim to ensure that all residents feel valued, understood, and supported by their police service.
