School Safety Remains Top Priority – Threats at Local Schools Addressed by STPS

St. Thomas, ON – Friday, May 2nd 2025

This week, the St. Thomas Police Service responded to two separate incidents involving local schools in our community.

On Tuesday April 29th 2025, officers were called to a local high school following a report that a student had threatened a member of the administration. Officers attended the school and, through investigation, were able to connect with the student and their parents to mediate the situation. ST25007055

On Wednesday April 30th 2025, officers were dispatched to a local elementary school after a student reportedly left school grounds while making threats about having a weapon. Police quickly located the student, and no weapons were found. Officers worked with the student and their parents, providing support and connecting them with available resources. ST25007128
