Theft

A black “Rad Power Bike Mini 4″ has been reported stolen. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, police were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the theft that occurred around 2 p.m. after the owner had secured it, before entering the store. The bike is valued at approximately $2,000. A stock photo of the bike can be seen below. Police are reviewing available video surveillance as they continue to investigate. ST24017653

Theft

Approximately $150 of merchandise has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, police were called to investigate the report of unknown individual attending the store, selecting several grocery items and a skateboard, failing to pay. An image of the individual can be seen below. This remains under investigation. ST24017736

Break and Enter

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a commercial break and enter. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, officers were called to a local park by an employee, who upon arriving to work for the day noticed the storage garage had been damaged and access was gained to the secured area. Damage to the interior of a home under construction in a southside neighbourhood has been reported to police. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, officers were called to investigate a break and enter that occurred the night previous. It was reported that an unknown person gained access through a window and caused damaged to several areas in the home. Police are reviewing video surveillance as they continue to investigate. Mischief 

A 57 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged after police were called to an ongoing neighbour dispute. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, officers attended an address on the southside of the city to investigate the report of unwanted communication. Through investigation, police formed grounds to charge the 57 year old with one count of Mischief. The individual was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24017694

Warrant Arrests

A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Assault, stemming from an incident in September. The 40 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24017693

A 47 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for Theft under $5,000, after they had been identified as the person responsible in shoplifting incident from May. The 47 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24017717

A 35 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for Arson and Failure to Comply with Probation, after they were identified as the individual responsible for setting a fire outside of an event venue on Talbot Street on August 31st. The 35 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24017723/ST24015705

A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called in regards to an unwanted person. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, officers attended an address on St. Catherine’s Street and located an individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Failure to Comply with Release Order. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24017724

A 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 1st 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Failure to Comply with Release Order. The 22 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24017731
