Impaired Operation 

A 36 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 10th 2023, just before 7:30 p.m. St. Thomas police were called to investigate the report of a possible impaired driver. Officers were able to locate the vehicle in question and conducted a traffic stop.  Through investigation, police determined the driver was showing signs of impairment. A roadside alcohol screening device was administered and the driver registered a fail. The individual was arrested and charged with one count of Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus) and transported to police headquarters for further testing. The 36 year old provided additional breathe samples which registered two times the legal limit. The St. Thomas resident was processed and released with a future court date. ST23018038

Stolen Vehicle – Recovered 

A White 2007 Ford Econoline cube van, reported stolen from a business on Talbot Street has been recovered. On Tuesday October 10th 2023, STPS were contacted by Oxford OPP who had located the van in Zorra Township. The owner of the vehicle was contacted. ST23017963/ST23018021

Criminal Harassment 

A 25 year old Simcoe resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 10th 2023, St. Thomas police entered into an investigation after receiving a complaint of harassment between a victim and a person they were previously in a relationship with. Police formed grounds to charge the 25 year old with one count of Criminal Harassment – Repeatedly Communicate. The Simcoe resident was located, arrested and transported to STPS headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST23018018

Vehicle Entry 

Approximately $1,000 worth of property, personal belongings and identification have been reported stolen. On Tuesday October 10th 2023, STPS were contacted by a vehicle owner who reported that their vehicle, parked at a business on Edward Street had been entered some time between Saturday October 7th and Tuesday October 10th. This remains under investigation. ST23018013

Warrant 

A 36 year old London resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 10th 2023, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant for one count Assault and one count Mischief stemming from an incident on October 8th 2023. The 36 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST23018010
