Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats

On Tuesday March 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to a north end area of town to investigate an assault that occurred. Upon arrival and through investigation, St. Thomas Police formed grounds to charge a 32 year old St. Thomas male with 1 count Failure to Comply with Release Order, 1 count Assault with a Weapon, 1 count Uttering Threats to cause Bodily Harm, 1 count Trespass by Night and 1 count Unlawfully in a Dwelling. The male was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters where he was held for court and remanded into custody. ST23004465

Break and Enter

On Tuesday March 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to a Talbot Street address to investigate a break and enter that had occurred. Through investigation, pry marks on the door and lock of a mail room were discovered. STPS are reviewing video surveillance and continuing to take reports of any mail that may have been stolen. On Tuesday March 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were dispatched to a south side residence to investigate a break and enter that had occurred. Upon arrival and through investigation, it was learned an attempt to enter the home was made. Pry marks were found on an exterior door. Reported stolen are solar lights and flower pots. ST23004495

Theft

On Tuesday March 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to a north side residence to investigate a theft. It was learned that some at approximately 5:30 AM, a grey and black Wonderfold wagon was stolen. STPS are reviewing available video and continue to investigate. ST23004483

On Tuesday March 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to attend a downtown business to investigate a theft that had just occurred. Through investigation it was learned that a male suspect wearing a grey sweater and dark sweatpants, took two bottles of liquor valued at $90 and left the store making no attempt to pay. Vehicle Entry

On Tuesday March 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to take the report of a vehicle entry. It was reported that sometime in the overnight hours of March 19th, a vehicle in a parking lot downtown had been entered. Reported stolen was an air compressor. Police would like to remind vehicle owners to ensure their vehicle is locked every time you exit or park. Please do not leave valuables or identification in your vehicle. ST23004433

Mischief

On Tuesday March 21, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to a downtown business to investigate mischief. After speaking to the business owner, it was learned that a window at the rear of the building had been broken at some point overnight. No other damage was reported. ST23004490
