Indecent Acts 

St. Thomas police are looking to identify the individual in the photo below. On Monday August 5th 2024, police were called to an area on Talbot Street to investigate the report of an unknown person being on the property, exposing themselves and engaging in lewd conduct. If you recognize the individual in the photo, please contact police at 519-631-1224 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers. ST24013644

Break and Enter 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a commercial break and enter.  On Tuesday August 6th 2024, police were called to a retail warehouse to investigate an alarm call. Upon arrival, officers determined the building had been entered and a small about of merchandise had been stolen. STPS are reviewing available video surveillance as they continue to investigate. Theft 

A quantity of copper wire has been reported stolen. On Tuesday August 6th 2024, police were called to a business on Edward Street to investigate the report of an unknown person(s) attending the area and stripping an industrial fridge of its copper wiring and causing significant damage to the appliance. The cost to replace the unit is approximately $12,000. This remains under investigation. ST24013697

Breach of Probation 

A 38 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by STPS after police were called to investigate the report an unwanted person. On Tuesday August 6th 2024, officers attended an address of the southside of the city and learned the 38 year old had attended and entered a residence they are release conditions to not attend. As a result, the St. Thomas resident has been charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with Probation and one count of Unlawfully in a Dwelling. A warrant for arrest has been requested. Warrant Arrest 

A 56 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday August 7th 2024, police were notified by OPP that they had the individual in their custody on the strength of an outstanding warrant with our service, stemming from a break and enter investigation dating back to 2022. The individual was transported to STPS HQ, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24013733
