Warrant Arrest

A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday April 2nd 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Theft under $5,000 after being identified in a shoplifting incident in February. The 39 year old was processed and released with a future court date. ST24005122

A 42 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday April 2nd 2024, officers at the Elgin County Courthouse were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of an outstanding warrant with our service for one count Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Probation Order, stemming from an incident in February. The 42 year old was processed and held for a court appearance. ST24005142

A 23 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday April 2nd 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for several offences dating back to 2021. The 23 year old was processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24005179

Assault

A 55 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged. On Tuesday April 2nd 2024, STPS responded to the report of disturbance at an address in the center of the city. Upon arrival, police learned an argument between the victim and their spouse had escalated resulting in damage to the home and minor injuries. As a result, a 55 year old has been charged with one count Mischief and one count of Assault. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24005158

Theft

A 25 year old Belmont resident has been arrested. On Tuesday April 2nd 2024, the 25 year old attended police headquarters to turn themselves in after being identified as one of the parties responsible in a shoplifting incident that occurred from a retail store on Talbot Street, earlier the same day. The individual was charged with one count of Theft under $5,000, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24005170

A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged. On Tuesday April 2nd 2024, officers were called to a convenience store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of a theft that had occurred. Through investigation and review of the instore video surveillance, officers identified the individual responsible. The 39 year old has been charged with one count Theft under $5,000.
