Warrant Arrest 

A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday November 25th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Break and Enter and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, in relation to an incident in December 2023. The 39 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and were remanded into custody. ST24021436/ST23022303

Theft

Approximately $70 of merchandise has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Monday November 25th 2024, officers were called to the store to investigate the report of two unknown people concealing bottles of alcohol and failing to pay. Police are reviewing available video of the individuals as they continue to investigate. ST24021448

Approximately $1,800 of merchandise has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Monday November 25th 2024, police were called to the store to investigate the report of two unknown people attending the store on Sunday, filling shopping carts with various merchandise and then leaving the store, failing to pay for any of the items. CCTV of the incident, the suspects and their vehicle is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. ST24021450

RIDE

St. Thomas police are pleased to announce that of the vehicles that were stopped and their drivers spoken to during a RIDE program in the city last night, no infractions or concerns were reported. STPS wishes to thank the community for continuing to drive safe and sober. ST24021449

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

The 2017 black Dodge Ram 1500, reported stolen on Sunday November 24th 2024, has been recovered. STPS were notified by the London Police Service that the vehicle had been located abandoned in London. The owner of the vehicle was notified and thankful for police assistance. ST24021457/21366

Intimate Partner Violence

A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance on the southside of the city last night. At approximately 8:30 p.m. police were called to the address for the report of an altercation between spouses. Through investigation, officers learned a verbal argument had escalated, resulting in a physical assault causing minor injury to the victim. As a result, the 41 year old was charged with one count of Assault and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24021468
