Call for service leads to multiple arrests

Three St. Thomas residents have been arrested after a suspicious vehicle was reported to police. On Monday May 6th 2024, officers were called to the area of Woodworth Avenue and Edward Street to investigate the report of a vehicle in the middle of the road that appeared to be missing a tire. Upon arrival police located the occupants of the vehicle, who were known to police to be on conditions to not associate with each other. Through investigation, officers learned of an outstanding warrant for one of the individuals and a driving prohibition for another.

As a result: 

A 26 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Undertaking, Failure to Comply Probation Order, 2 counts of Operation while Prohibited, Operate Unsafe Vehicle, Drive Under Suspension and Drive Motor Vehicle No Plates. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24007254

A 43 year old St. Thomas resident has been charge with Failure to Comply with Undertaking. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24007260

A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Undertaking. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed and transported the Elgin County Courthouse for a court appearance where they were released by the courts. ST24007260

Warrant arrests

A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday May 6th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for Failure to Comply with Release Order, stemming from an incident in March. The 29 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24007237

A 17 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday May 6th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for Theft under $5000 and Assault Peace Officer, in relation to an incident in December of 2023. The 17 year old was processed and transported the Elgin County Courthouse for a court appearance where they were released by the courts. ST24007249
