Assault with a weapon 

A 27 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday June 10th 2024, STPS responded to an address on the southside of the city for the report of an assault that had occurred between a victim and their spouse. Upon arrival, officers learned an argument between the two had escalated resulting in damage to the residence and the victim being physically assaulted. The accused had left the area on foot prior to police arrival but was quickly located a short distance away. The 27 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were charged with one count Mischief and one count Assault with a Weapon. The individual was processed on the charges, made a court appearance and was release on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24009696

Breach of Probation

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident is currently wanted by police after an incident in the city last night. Just after 5 p.m. on Monday June 10th 2024, police were called to a Talbot Street address by a concerned citizen who reported a disturbance. Upon arrival, police spoke with the parties involved and learned an individual who is on conditions to not communicate with or attend the address had attended and verbal argument took place. The 32 year had left the area prior to police arrival. As a result, the St. Thomas resident has been charged with three counts of Failure to Comply with Probation. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24009742

Warrant Arrest

A 25 year old with an outstanding immigration warrant has been arrested. On June 10th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters in regards to their expired visa. Canada Border Services Agency attended STPS HQ to process the outstanding warrant. ST24009743

Vehicle Entries 

A purse containing a wallet, personal identification and credit cards has been reported stolen from a vehicle on Highview Drive. It was reported that the passenger side window had been smashed and the purse stolen in the overnight hours of Sunday June 9th 2024. ST24009702

A wallet has been reported stolen from a vehicle on Locust Street. On Monday June 10th 2024. the vehicle owner called police to report the incident that occurred sometime in the overnight hours. The victim reports one of the cards in the wallet had been used to make several small purchases at locations throughout the city. This remains under investigation. ST24009711

Keys and change have been reported stolen from a vehicle on Locust Street. On Monday June 10th 2024, the vehicle owner called police to report the incident. No damage was reported and no other items were missing. ST24009730
