Mischief 

A park on the southside of city has been vandalized. On Wednesday October 2nd 2024, STPS were called to the park after a concerned citizen noticed that several items at the park had been spray painted with concerning messaging and graffiti. St. Thomas police notified the city and will be working to have it removed. ST24017775

Several planters along Talbot Street have been damaged. On Wednesday October 2nd 2024, officers were called to the area of Ross Street and Talbot Street to investigate the report of an individual ripping plants out of the commercials planters that line the street. CCTV is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. ST24017801

St. Thomas police are investigating several reports of theft:

Approximately $40 of groceries have been reported stolen from a grocery store on Talbot Street. ST24017790

Later the same day, STPS attended the same location for the report of an unknown individual failing to pay for their items. ST24017807

A two-toned green, CCM bike has been reported stolen from an address on Balaclava Street. ST24017809

A blue and white, Trumb bike has been reported stolen from an address on Talbot Street. ST24017817

Approximately $800 of merchandise has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street in an incident that occurred on September 24th, and reported to police on October 2nd. ST24017765

The incidents above remain under investigation by the St. Thomas Police Service. Images and video surveillance of the individuals responsible are being reviewed by police.
