Weapons / Failure to Comply
On Thursday March 16th 2023 just before 1:00 AM, St. Thomas Police were called to investigate the report of an argument between two people in a vehicle. Upon Police arrival and through investigation, 27 year old Robert Dew was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Failure to Comply with an undertaking and 1 count Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition for a Prohibited Purpose. Dew was transported to Police Headquarters and held for court. ST23004206
Break and Enter
On Thursday March 16th 2023 at approximately 6:30 AM, Officers on community patrol were alerted to broken window at a business in the downtown core. Through investigation, St. Thomas Police confirmed a break and enter had occurred. Reported stolen were various watches, jewelry and merchandise with a value of $1,600. St. Thomas Police are continuing their investigation. On Wednesday March 15th 2023, St. Thomas Police were called to investigate a break and enter that occurred at a business on the south side of the city. It is reported that sometime overnight, a suspect(s) gained entry to the building through an insecure door. Nothing has been reported stolen however there is damage to the interior of the building. Theft
On Wednesday March 15th 2023, St. Thomas Police were called to a local retail store to investigate a theft. Through investigation, Police were able to identify and locate 43 year old, Kimberly Tilley. As a result, Tilley was arrested and charged with 1 count Theft under $5,000. She was released on an appearance notice. ST23004159
On Wednesday March 15th 2023, St. Thomas Police were called to an apartment building on Talbot Street to investigate the theft of a portable heater. Video surveillance has been provided and will be used to identify the involved suspect(s). ST23004168
Warrant Arrests
On Wednesday March 15th 2023, Officers on community patrol located a 39 year old St. Thomas male who was known to Police to be wanted on outstanding warrants. The male was transported to Police Headquarters and was charged with 1 count Possession of Property obtained by Crime, 1 count Assault with a Weapon and 1 count of Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. On Wednesday March 15th 2023, St. Thomas Police located and arrested 43 year old Randy Maier. Maier was wanted by our service for 1 count Theft Under $5000.00 – Shoplifting. On Wednesday March 15th 2023, a 16 year old St. Thomas male attended Police Headquarters to turn himself in on an outstanding probation warrant. The male was processed and released with a future court date. ST23004155/RM23000110
On Wednesday March 15th 2023, St. Thomas Police were called to attend a downtown retail store to remove unwanted parties. Upon arrival, Police located a 37 year old female who was known to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000.
