Failure to Comply

A 31 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Conditions. On Wednesday June 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to investigate an incident in which the accused was in breach of a condition to not contact or communicate with an individual. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST23010878

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Conditions. On Wednesday June 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to investigate an incident in which the accused was in breach of their condition to not contact or communicate with an individual. At approximately 4 p.m. the accused attended police headquarters to turn themselves in. The 32 year old was arrested, processed and held for court. ST23010881

A 46 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Conditions. On Wednesday June 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to investigate an incident in which the accused was in breach of their condition to not contact or communicate with an individual. Just after 7:30 p.m. the accused attended police headquarters to turn themselves in. The 46 year old was arrested, processed and released on an undertaking. ST23010909

A 33 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Conditions. On Thursday June 22nd, 2023 St. Thomas Police were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of an outstanding warrant out of Nova Scotia, stemming from an incident in 2021 resulting in the charge of Break and Enter, Theft Under, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, and Fail to Attend Court. As a result, the 33 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters to be processed and has been held for court. ST23010961

Theft

Five lights have been reported stolen from along the trail behind Memorial Arena. On Wednesday June 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called by City of St. Thomas Parks and Recreation to investigate the theft. It was reported that sometime in the overnight hours, five lights were removed from their posts. Police attended the area and were able to locate two of the lights with another being found on Talbot Street. This remains under investigation. ST23010879

A purse has been reported stolen from a day program at a local church. On Wednesday June 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to investigate the theft. This remains under investigation. ST23010943

Arrested

A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday June 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 stemming from an incident earlier this month. The 38 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice. ST23010898

Stolen vehicle – recovered

A vehicle reported stolen in May of 2022 has been recovered. On Wednesday June 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called by a tow truck company dispatched to an area outside of the city to remove truck. Upon arrival, the tow truck driver was able to check the VIN and learned the vehicle had been stolen.  As a result, the insurance company was contacted and the truck towed back to St. Thomas. Impaired Driver 

A 63 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday June 21st, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called by a concerned citizen who believed a driver may be impaired. Police responded to a Talbot Street location where they were able to locate the vehicle and its driver. A request was made by police for the accused to provide a breath sample in which a fail was registered. The 63 year old was placed under arrested and transported to police headquarters where further samples registered more than one and half times the legal limit. As a result, the St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count Impaired Operation – over 80 and was released on an undertaking. ST23010934

R.I.D.E

50 vehicles were stopped and their drivers checked during a RIDE program last night. Police conducted the check on Sunset Drive at 12:45 a.m. One screening device was administered with the driver registering a pass and one highway traffic act warning was issued. ST23010954
