Recovered Stolen Vehicle

A vehicle reported stolen early Wednesday morning has been recovered. On Wednesday, we were contacted by the Elgin OPP who had located the vehicle, just outside of the city. The owner was notified and the vehicle towed. ST26011259

Theft

Approximately $400 of clothing has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. Officers were called to attend the store after two unknown men failed to pay for their items. Video has been provided to police. ST26011263

STPS are investigating an additional theft that occurred at the same retail store on Talbot Street. An unknown female had left the store, failing to pay for her items. Video of this incident has been provided to police. ST26011323

A cell phone has been reported stolen from an address on Talbot Street. Staff on site have provided the available video. This remains under investigation. ST26011328

Bail Violations

A 39 year old St. Thomas woman has been charged after failing to attend her court ordered probation. A warrant for her arrest has been requested. ST26011289

Warrant Arrest

A 38 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Wednesday, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply with Probation. He was transported to police headquarters, processed to attend court and remanded into custody. ST26011296

Failure to Remain – Pedestrian Struck

Minor injuries were sustained in a motor vehicle collision that took place on CASO Crossing, Wednesday afternoon. Police and EMS attended the area after a pedestrian called to report they had just been hit by a vehicle that failed to stopped. Video is being reviewed to identify the party responsible. This remains under investigation. ST26011309

Mischief

A 37 year old St. Thomas woman has been charged with two counts of Mischief and Failure to Comply with Release Order after being identified as the person responsible for causing damage to a business on Ross Street. A warrant for her arrest has been requested. ST26011327

RIDE

Of the vehicles stopped and their drivers spoken to, STPS are pleased to report no infractions were found. Thank you for continuing to drive safe and sober. ST26011338
