Mischief 

36 year old Dennis Churchill is wanted by St. Thomas police. On Wednesday January 24th 2024, officers were called to an address on the Southside of the city to investigate the report of damaged caused to the property and a vehicle. Through investigation officers learned Churchill had attended the address and caused significant damage to the front door of the residence and had smashed the windows of a car parked in the laneway. As a result, 36 year old Dennis Churchill has been charged with 2 counts of Mischief. Additionally, Churchill is wanted by STPS on an outstanding warrant for 2 counts of Breach of Probation, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Failure to Comply with Undertaking stemming from an incident in November of 2023. Vehicle entry 

Approximately $25 has been reported stolen. On Wednesday January 24th 2024, officers were called by the vehicle owner who wish to report that while away from their home, they had received a notification from their doorbell camera that showed an unknown individual on the property. Upon returning home, the vehicle owner found their to car rummaged through and the $25 taken. The unknown person is described as wearing a grey/maroon hoodie with light blue pants. A photo is below. Theft

A 21 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday January 24th 2024, St. Thomas police were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of a theft that had just occurred. Upon arrival, police learned an unknown person entered the store, selected a bottle of Rum and left the store without paying. Staff provided the license plate of the vehicle the person seen leaving the area in. Police located the vehicle a short distance away and arrested the 21 year old driver. The St. Thomas resident was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24001115

Assault

St. Thomas police are currently investigating an incident of assault. On Wednesday January 24th 2024, officers were called to a Talbot Street address by security staff, who reported a resident of the building had been assaulted. Upon arrival, police learned an interaction between two individuals known to each other had resulted in an unprovoked assault. The victim was transported to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. This remains under investigation. ST24001146

Warrant

A 44 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. During a traffic stop this morning, officers became aware that the driver of the vehicle they had stopped was wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Fraud under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime stemming from an incident in November of 2023. The 44 year old driver was processed on the charges and released with a future court date. ST24001148

Looking to identify

St. Thomas police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual seen in the photos and video below. The unknown individual is responsible for the theft of over $600 in Dewalt tools. On Monday January 22nd 2024, STPS was contacted by the retail store who wished to report that on Tuesday January 16th 2024, an unknown person entered the store, selected the tools and failed to pay.
