Impaired Operation

A 49 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested following a single vehicle collision on the northside of the city, last night. Just after 10 p.m. police received multiple 911 calls in regards to a single vehicle collision near Dennis Road. Upon arrival, police located a vehicle that had struck multiple construction barriers in the area. While speaking with police, the driver of the vehicle was showing signs of impairment and was arrested. The 49 year old was transported to police headquarters where testing concluded the individual was impaired by alcohol, registering over 3 times the legal limit. As a result, the 49 year old was charged with one count of Operation While Impaired and one count of Operation While Impaired 80 Plus. The individual was processed and released with a future court date. ST24013335

Theft – Obstruct Police – Weapons 

Two London residents have been arrested after police were called to investigate the report of multiple thefts at the 1063 Talbot Street retail plaza. Officers attended the area after separate calls for service report the unknown parties attending stores and failing to pay for merchandise. Police attended and located the individuals still in the area.

As a result, a 28 year old London resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Probation and Failure to Comply with Release Order. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date.

A 39 year old London resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Probation, Failure to Comply with Release Order, Obstruct Police and Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24013320/ST24013324

Intimate Partner Violence 

A 56 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance at a west end address. Through investigation, officers learned the victim had been physically assaulted by their partner. As a result, the 56 year old has been charged with one count of Assault and two counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24013265

Failure to Comply 

A 46 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged after police were called to investigate the report of an unwanted person. Through investigation, officers learned the individual is currently on release conditions to not attend the address of the call. As a result, the 46 year old has been charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with Undertaking and one count Unlawfully in a Dwelling. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24013289

Warrant Arrest 

A 20 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday July 31st 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service Assault, Mischief and Failure to Comply with Probation Order in relation to an incident in February. The 20 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST24013330/ST24002906
