Intimate Partner Violence Investigation Results in Arrest
The St. Thomas Police Service has concluded an intimate partner violence investigation that resulted in a significant police presence at a residence in the city on September 13, 2026.
Due to the circumstances of the investigation and to ensure the apprehension of the accused, additional police resources were deployed and containment of the residence was established. The response included members of the Critical Incident Response Team, Criminal Investigations Branch, K-9 Unit, and Uniform Patrol.
The accused was taken into custody without further incident and has been charged with:
• Assault Causing Bodily Harm – Choking
• Uttering Threats to Cause Death
• Fail to Comply with Release Order – three counts
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused will be held for court.
There is no threat to public safety.

To protect the identity and privacy of the victim, no further information regarding the circumstances of the incident will be released.
