Theft Investigations
STPS are investigating a theft that occurred early Friday morning. An air conditioning unit valued at over $5000 was stolen from a business in the north end of the City. CCTV in the area is being reviewed and the theft remains under investigation. ST26016103
Alcohol coolers have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Friday afternoon, police were called after an unknown male failed to pay for the items. Video has been provided to police and the incident remains under investigation. ST26016125.
Threats
A 22 year old St. Thomas man has been charged. Police were called by an individual known to the man after he made concerning posts on social media. As a result of the investigation, the man is charged with uttering threats to cause death. He was quickly located by officers and arrested. The man was transported to police headquarters for processing and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26016078
Bail Violation/Resist Arrest
A 44 year old St. Thomas man has been charged. The accused is currently bound by court ordered, remote monitoring. On Friday, police were made aware of the individual failing to comply with their release order and not adhering to the program. The man was quickly located but refused to comply with police demands. As a result of the investigation, the man is charged with failure to comply with release order and resist arrest. The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST26016133
Disturbance Leads to LLCA Charge
Early Saturday morning police were called to a disturbance at a south end bar. Officers separated the involved persons and determined that there were no injuries. As a result of the investigation a 49 year old man was arrested and charged under the Liquor Licence and Control Act with being intoxicated in a public place. He was transported to police headquarters where he was held until sober. ST26016176
