Warrant Arrests
A 26 year old London resident has been arrested. On Saturday November 23rd 2024, STPS were contacted by London Police who had the individual in their custody on the strength of our warrant for Assault and Mischief after they were charged the day previous, when a dispute between them and their partner had escalated. STPS attended LPS and took custody of the individual who was transported to St. Thomas police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday November 24th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 in relation to shoplifting incident in October. A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday November 24th 2024, officers were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of an individual being stopped by store staff for shoplifting. The individual was known to police to be wanted on outstanding warrant with our service for 3 counts of Theft under $5,000 stemming from incidents in October. They were additionally charged with Theft under $5,000. The 39 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court. ST24021374
A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday November 24th 2024, officers located the individual wanted by our service for one count of Assault stemming from an incident in October. A 13 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday November 24th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in after being identified as the person responsible for an assault that occurred the day previous. The teen was charged with one count of Assault, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24021391
Intimate Partner Violence
36 year old Lambton Shores resident has been charged after police were called to a disturbance on the southside of the city on Sunday. Through investigation, officers learned an argument between spouses had escalated resulting in damage to property and a minor injury. The 36 year old had left the area prior to police arrival. As a result, they have been charged with Assault, Mischief and Theft under $5,000. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24021397
Break and Enter
A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after being charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The individual was identified as the person responsible in a break and enter investigation over the weekend, where it was reported that an unknown individual had gained entry to a business on Burwell Road and stole a quantity of electronic devices. The 34 year old was arrested Sunday evening and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24021407
Theft of Motor Vehicle
A 2017 black Dodge Ram 1500, bearing Ontario license plate BB80582 has been reported stolen. On Sunday November 24th 2024, it was reported that the vehicle was stolen sometime after 5:00 p.m. on November 22nd, when it was left a local mechanic for scheduled repairs. STPS were notified by the London Police Service that the vehicle was involved in a gas drive-off in their city, early Sunday morning.
