Wanted

A 29 year old St. Thomas resident is currently wanted by St. Thomas Police for five counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order after removing a court ordered, GPS monitoring device. STPS were notified on April 28th that the device had been removed and the location of the person was unknown. Police are continuing to investigate and locate the individual. ST23007008

Solar lights stolen

A string of 10 outdoor solar lights have been reported stolen from a home on Highview Drive. On April 29th 2023, the home owner  contacted police to report that sometime between the hours of 10 p.m. on the 27th of April and 9:00 a.m. on the 28th of April, the string of lights had been taken. The lights are valued at approximately $200. ST23007040

Gas drive off

Approximately $50 of gas has been reported stolen from a gas station on Talbot Street. St. Thomas Police were called to the location after being contacted by an employee who reports that at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday April 30th, 2023 an individual driving a black Ford Focus hatchback pumped $50 of gas and then left, making no attempt to pay. Video surveillance is available and is being reviewed by Police. ST23007086

Aggravated assault, arrest made

A 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count Aggravated Assault after turning themselves in to police on Sunday April 29th. The charge stems from an incident that occurred at a downtown bar on April 7th, 2023 where video surveillance shows an altercation between the accused and a victim who sustained serious injury. Sexual assault, arrest made

As the result of an investigation a St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count of Sexual Assault. The accused attended police headquarters on Sunday April 30th 2023, to turn themselves in after learning of an outstanding warrant for arrest. The individual was processed and released on an undertaking. ST23007112

Stolen identity, arrest made 

A 32 year old of no fixed address has been arrested on an outstanding warrant after police were called downtown on Sunday April 30th. Upon arrival, police located a person who was in need of medical treatment. While coordinating care with Emergency Medical Services, it was learned the individual had been using someone else’s identification and was wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for one count theft under $5000 and one count personation with intent. The individual was placed under arrest, processed and released on an undertaking. EMS transported the individual to the hospital for medical treatment. ST23007078
