Stolen Property Investigation Leads to Arrest
A 57 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following an investigation that began in April. On Sunday, officers conducting traffic enforcement located the accused during a stop. Charged with two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and two counts of Driving While Under Suspension, he was transported to police headquarters to processed. A search incident to arrest, found the 57 year old to be in possession of a quantity of suspected Morphine. Additionally charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule I Substance, he was processed on all charges and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26010539/10546/7693
Impaired Operation
A 34 year old Stratford resident has been charged following the report of a disturbance on Centre Street, Sunday morning. Just before 8:00 a.m. officers were called to the area for the report of two people arguing. Upon arrival, officers located the accused in their vehicle. Concerned with visible signs of impairment, officers administered a roadside screen device which resulted in a fail. The 34 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where additional testing confirmed impairment by alcohol. Charged with Impaired Operation and Operation while Impaired plus 80, the individual was processed and later released with a future court date. ST26010547
Resist Arrest
A 35 year old St. Thomas man has been charged following an incident in the city Sunday evening. Called to a theft that had just occurred from a retail store on Talbot Street, officers located the accused still in the area with the stolen merchandise. When attempting to speak with the individual, he ran from officers. Following a short foot pursuit, the individual continued to resist officers. Charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order, Theft under $5,000 and Resist Peace Officer, he was transported to police headquarters and held to attend court. ST26010561
Warrant Arrest
A 39 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Sunday officers were called to move along an unwanted person from an address on Elm Street. Upon arrival the 39 year old who was known to police to have an outstanding warrant for arrest, was located. Charged with Failure to Comply with Probation and Failure to Comply with Release Order, she was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. Theft
An EMO Merona, retro style e-bike valued at $2,100 has been reported stolen from an address on Avon Road. The theft was reported to police Sunday morning, believe to have occurred at some point in the overnight hours. This remains under investigation. ST26010550
A black, EMO Zone e-bike value a $1,500 has been reported stolen from an address on Holland Ave. On Sunday police were called to investigate the theft that occurred in the overnight hours. This remains under investigation. ST26010555
Approximately $2,000 of tools and batteries have been reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Centre Street. On Sunday, officers attended the area to investigate the report of the vehicle being entered and the tools stolen. No damage was reported. ST26010558
Failure to Comply
A 30 year old St. Thomas woman has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order after police were notified that she had failed to charge her remote monitoring device, issued by the courts. A warrant for her arrest has been requested. ST26010571
