Theft

A 43 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday June 25th, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called by loss prevention at grocery store on Talbot Street who were requesting police attend for a shoplifting incident. Upon police arrival, store employees had located the suspect who had left the store, failing to pay for all items at check out. As a result, the 43 year old was charged with one count Theft under $5,000  and released from the scene with a future court date. ST23011209

Residential break and enter

A weed trimmer, chainsaw and pole saw have been reported stolen from an address on St. George Street. On Sunday June 25th, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called by the homeowner who reports that sometime over the last week an unknown person(s) had entered a locked shed on the property and removed the items. This remains under investigation. ST23011212

Intimate partner violence

A warrant has been requested for the arrest of a 40 year old St. Thomas resident after St. Thomas police were called to an address in the city’s south end to investigate a domestic related incident. At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Monday June 26th, 2023 STPS attended the residence and through investigation formed grounds to charge the 40 year old with one count Fail to Comply with Probation Order, one count Assault, and one count Forcible Confinement.
