Theft

St. Thomas Police are looking to identify the person seen in this photo after $124.00 worth of gas was stolen from a gas station on Fairview Avenue. On Friday July 28th 2023, STPS were called to investigate the theft that had occurred just before 7 p.m. the evening before. The vehicle is a blue BMW X5 (SUV) with Ontario license plates that were reported stolen out of London earlier this year. Theft

$45 worth of groceries has been reported stolen. On Sunday July 30th 2023, St. Thomas police were called by the staff of a grocery store who reported that an unknown person had left the store with the groceries, making no attempt to pay. The individual was met outside by loss prevention who were able to retrieve the stolen groceries. This remains under investigation. ST23013545

Mischief

A vehicle parked in the laneway of a home on First Avenue has been reported damaged. On Friday July 28th 2023 St. Thomas police attended the area and spoke to the vehicle owner who reports for the second time in same week, their vehicle has been vandalized with spray paint. No other damage was reported. This remains under investigation. ST23013391

Intimidation

A warrant for arrest has been requested for a 34 year old St. Thomas resident after police were called to investigate an incident of intimidation. On Friday July 28th 2023, STPS were called by the victim who reported receiving a phone call from the accused in regards to an ongoing matter before the courts. As a result, the 34 year old has been charge with one count Intimidation of a Justice System Participant. ST23013393

Naloxone administered by police

On Saturday July 29th 2023, St. Thomas police attended a medical call at which they administered life saving naloxone to a resident who was experiencing an overdose. Upon arrival, the individual hadn’t responded to the first dose of naloxone resulting in police administering a second dose. A third dose was administered by EMS upon their arrival. The individual regained consciousness and EMS continued their care. ST23013435

Refusal

A 21 year old London resident has been arrested. On Sunday July 30th 2023, St. Thomas police responded to a vehicle that had broken down in the area of Caso Crossing and Talbot Street. Through investigation, police believed the driver of the vehicle to be showing signs of impairment. STPS read the accused the approved screening device demand (ASD). After several attempts, the accused refused to provide a suitable breath. As a result, the 21 year old London resident was charged with one count Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST23013520

Arrested

A 36 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday July 31st 2023, at approximately 1 :00 a.m. St. Thomas police responded to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, STPS located the 36 year old known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant from a previous incident this year. The individual was arrested on the strength of that warrant and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for court. ST23013566
