On Thursday, police received a report that two unlocked vehicles parked at a residence on Mandeville Road had been entered sometime overnight. The vehicles had been rummaged through, but no damage was reported. ST26017477
On Thursday, police received a report that a work vehicle parked on Fourth Avenue had been entered sometime overnight. A 150-foot extension cord, valued at approximately $150, was stolen from the bed of the truck. The cord was later recovered in a parking lot on Wellington Street and returned to its owner. ST26017469
On Thursday, police received a report that two unlocked vehicles parked at a residence on Caldwell Street had been entered sometime overnight. A purse containing identification, bank cards and personal documents belonging to several family members was reported stolen. The bank cards were cancelled and no financial loss was reported. On Thursday, police received a report that a vehicle parked at a residence on Axford Parkway had been entered sometime overnight. A wallet containing several cards was reported stolen. The stolen wallet and cards were later recovered and returned to the owner. ST26017465
While dealing with an individual on an unrelated matter in an area close to the vehicle entries, officers formed grounds to charge a 40 year old St. Thomas man with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was transported to police headquarters, processed to attend court and was remanded into custody. ST26017486
