Theft

Several designer items, cash and a TV have been reported stolen. On Thursday June 1st, 2023 St. Thomas police were called to a residence on Wellington Street to investigate a theft. Upon arrival, police learned that in the evening hours of May 31st, 2023 two unknown people entered the residence and removed the items. Video surveillance is being reviewed to identify the suspects. A turquoise and white, Hover 1 Instinct power assisted bicycle has been reported stolen. On Thursday June 1st, 2023 just before 10 p.m. St. Thomas Police were called to retail plaza on Churchill Crescent to investigate a stolen bike. Through investigation, police learned that the owner of the bike had left it outside while in a store for approximately two minutes. Upon exiting the store, the bike was gone. The bike is valued at approximately $1,500 and is similar to the one seen in this photo. ST23009419

Arrested

A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after St. Thomas police were called to a retail store on Talbot Street over the concerns of a person with a weapon. Upon arrival, police located the individual who was known to them to have conditions to not attend the location and in violation of their bail conditions. The 29 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed for 1 count failure to comply and released on an appearance notice. A small knife was seized during arrest. ST23009375

A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. Officers on community patrol located the individual on Balaclava Street on Thursday June 1st, 2023. The individual was known to be wanted on several outstanding warrants for Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply. The 37 year old was transported to police headquarters, held for court and released by the courts. ST23009384

Wanted

A 52 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by St. Thomas police. On Thursday June 1st, 2023 St. Thomas police were called by a concerned resident to investigate the report of an indecent act. Through investigation, police formed grounds to charge the 52 year old with one count Indecent Act. A warrant has been requested. ST23009402

Impaired Operation 

A 61 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. Thanks to an alert citizen, St. Thomas police were called to investigate a hit and run that had occurred,  just before 8 p.m. on Thursday June 1st, 2023. Police attended a Talbot Street shopping center and located the vehicle involved and its driver. While investigating, police formed grounds to believe the individual was impaired. The 61 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where a drug recognition evaluation was executed resulting in the individual being charged with one count Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drug and one count Fail to Remain. They were later released on an appearance notice. ST23009413
