Warrant Arrests 

Two St. Thomas residents wanted by police, have been arrested. A warrant for arrest was issued for a 21 year old St. Thomas resident and 31 year old St. Thomas resident after they were identified as the individuals responsible for stealing an e-bike from an address on Southwick Street, earlier this week. Both individuals attended police headquarters on Thursday June 27th 2024 to turn themselves in. They were later released on an undertaking with a future court dates. ST24010751/0882

A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday June 27th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service stemming from an incident in 2023. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24010903

Failure to Comply 

A 31 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday June 27th 2024, STPS were called to a disturbance in the downtown core. While dealing with the parties involved, police learned the 31 year old was on conditions to not attend the area of the call and to not communicate with the parties involved in the disturbance. As a result, the individual was charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order, transported to police headquarters and released on an undertaking with a future court date. A 17 year old year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday June 27th 2024, STPS were notified that the individual was to be adhering to a curfew but had left their residence and hadn’t returned. The 17 year old was located by police and transported to STPS headquarters where they were charged with three counts of Failure to Comply with Sentence. The individual was processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24010917

Theft

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a theft that occurred from a retail store in the 400 block of Talbot Street. On Thursday June 27th 2024, STPS were called by the owner of the store who wished to report an unknown individual attended the store and stole approximately $25.00 in merchandise. STPS are reviewing video surveillance of the incident as they continue to investigate. ST24010904

Fail to stop investigation 

In the early morning hours of June 13th 2024, St. Thomas police were alerted by London police of a possible impaired driver who had left the city of London and had entered St. Thomas. STPS were able to locate the vehicle involved and attempted to stop the vehicle by activating emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle was followed for a short distance however the driver failed to stop for police. ST24009896

Through investigation, the driver of the vehicle was identified as a 16 year old St. Thomas resident and warrant for arrest was requested. On Friday June 28th 2024, police located the individual who has been charged with Dangerous Operation, Flight from Peace Officer and several HTA offences. The 16 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24010929
