Break and Enter

Sometime between 1630hrs on June 28th and the morning of June 30th, the lock was cut on a loaded trailer parked inside a secured compound with 7‑foot fencing and barbed wire. Nothing was stolen and no other trailers were entered or damaged. Police located a hole in the fence on the south side of the compound. Incident # ST26012262

Shoplift x 3

An online report was submitted for an after‑the‑fact theft of $50 shoes from a downtown business on June 29th. The Property Crime Unit is investigating. Incident # ST26012281

Staff at a business on Talbot Street reported an unknown male stole approximately $250 worth of undergarments. Police are reviewing video to identify the suspect. Incident # ST26012305

Police responded to a business near the downtown core after an employee reported a male stole a pack of beer. The suspect was identified through video and has been trespassed from the business. Incident # ST26012306

Child Abuse Arrest

A 32‑year‑old male turned himself in on reasonable grounds for Assault with a Weapon in relation to a child abuse investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigations Branch. He was released with a future court date. Incident # ST26012301

Intimate Partner Violence

Police received multiple calls reporting a physical altercation between a male and female outside a residence near the downtown. Investigation determined the two are in an intimate relationship and witnesses observed the male striking the female. The male fled prior to police arrival but was identified. Police have grounds to charge the 40‑year‑old male with assault, and a warrant will be requested. Incident # ST26012337

Bail Violations

Police were called regarding a youth breaching a curfew condition on his release order. Police confirmed the youth was not at home and he is now charged with Fail to Comply with Release Order. The youth is believed to be outside St. Thomas. A warrant is being requested. Incident # ST26012339
