The previously reported stolen pickup truck, a 2018 model with Ontario marker CC89660, was recovered by Oxford OPP on August 8th. Incident # ST26015114
Vehicle Entry – South End
Police received a report that sometime overnight between August 6th and 7th, an unlocked vehicle was entered and approximately $3,500 in DeWalt cordless tools were stolen. The tools were marked “HVP” in permanent marker. Incident # ST26015182
Mischief – Downtown Area
Police responded to a residence near the downtown area after a female reported her roommate had damaged her property. Investigation determined that a 40‑year‑old male had uprooted flowers from the shared garden area following an argument. The male was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000 and released on an Undertaking. Incident # ST26015187
Theft – Local Retail Store
Police attended a local business after Loss Prevention reported two theft incidents involving the same suspects. On August 3rd, merchandise valued at approximately $1,000 was stolen. On August 7th, around 8:31 p.m., the same individuals returned and stole an additional $600 in merchandise. The suspects were identified as a 19‑year‑old female and her 47‑year‑old father from London. Both will be charged with theft under $5,000. Incident # ST26015177
Intimate Partner Violence
Police received a report from a female who stated she was assaulted by a 29‑year‑old male while driving. The male allegedly lunged toward her and shoved her, causing her to momentarily lose control of the vehicle. He has been charged with assault, and a warrant will be sought for his arrest. Break and Enter – Near Downtown
A male reported a break and enter to a vacant residence sometime between August 7th and 8th. The complainant and family are in the process of moving into the home. A neighbour reported seeing a male and female on a construction property and believed they may have been removing copper wire. Photos of the individuals were provided to police. The investigation is ongoing. Incident # ST26015204
Warrant Arrest
While on general patrol, officers located a 29‑year‑old male who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for public mischief and failing to comply with probation. A vigilant citizen reported two individuals dressed in black with medical masks appearing to scope out vehicles. Officers located a 32‑year‑old male and a 41‑year‑old female nearby matching the description. No offences were observed. CCTV footage will be reviewed, and the matter remains under investigation.
