Firearms charges:

On the 3rd of August 2023 members of the Street Crimes Unit conducted a search warrant at a south end residence seizing several firearms. During the course of an unrelated investigation it was learned that the resident had possession of firearms while not having a currently valid Possession and Acquisition Licence. Firearms were seized and transported to the station. The 51 year old St Thomas man was charged with five counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm. Incident ST23013281.

Shoplifting:

On the evening of the 2nd of August 2023 Police attended an east end business for report of a female shoplifter. The female suspect had loaded a cart full of merchandise and left the store after paying for only one item. The female is described as being approximately 5 feet tall, having blonde hair and was wearing a white tank top, black pants and a black hat and sunglasses. Theft of Bicycle:

On the 3rd of August 2023 a St Thomas Resident attended an east end business and parked his bicycle at the rack outside of the store. While inside the bicycle was stolen by an unknown suspect. The bicycle is a red Kona adult mountain bike with stickers on the frame. Break and Enter and theft:

On the 3rd of August a local utility company contacted the St Thomas Police Service to report damage to hydro meters in a multi-residential building. Police attended the downtown location where it was learned that unknown suspects had broken into the utility room in the building, over an unknown time frame, and stole aluminum and copper wiring. The damage and repair costs were estimated in excess of $2500.00. The matter is under investigation. Breach of release order:

In the evening hours on the 3rd of August 2023 Police were at a local business on an unrelated matter when officers recognized a male in the store as being on conditions to not attend that location. This male had breached the same condition previously and had previously been charged. The male was arrested for breach of release order and transported to the station. The male was held for morning court. Incident ST23013801.

Warrant arrest:

On the 3rd of August 2023 a 34 year old male attended the St Thomas Police Service to turn himself in on two outstanding warrants. The male was held for court and eventually released by the courts with conditions. Incident ST23013758

Warrant arrest:

On the 3rd of August 2023 a 50 year old female attended the St Thomas Police Service to turn herself in on an outstanding warrants. The female was released with a future court date. Incident ST23013759.
